Motorola reveals which phones are getting Android 14, but not when\u060c<\/p>\n

On October 4, Google began rolling out Android 14 to eligible Pixel devices. If you're a long-time Android user, you know the rest. Some manufacturers are pretty quick to follow, with the Samsung Galaxy S23 series<\/a> receiving Android 14 pretty close to Google's Pixel phones. But other manufacturers take much longer to update their eligible phones to the latest version of Android.<\/div>\n

One of these lagging manufacturers is Lenovo's Motorola. Ironically, it was the Motorola DROID that became the first major Android smartphone to hit the market in November 2009. Lenovo's Matthew Zielinski, president of international markets for the Chinese smartphone maker, expects Motorola to become the world's third largest manufacturer of smartphones within three years. For this to happen, Motorola needs to improve the speed at which it updates Android on its compatible handsets.<\/div>\n
