Stream on ESPN+: LaLiga, Bundesliga, more (US) <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Newcastle are reluctant to let Trippier go and have given him a valuation of between \u20ac15m and \u20ac20m.<\/p>\n<p>Trippier is one of several players Bayern are considering, as manager Thomas Tuchel remains keen to sign a right-back this month after missing out on Manchester City defender Kyle Walker last summer.<\/p>\n<p>The Bundesliga giants wanted to sign Nordi Mukiele on loan with an option to buy the 26-year-old, but Paris Saint-Germain would prefer a direct transfer this month so they could reinvest the money.<\/p>\n<p>Sources have told ESPN that Bayern have since moved for Trippier, who has 18 months remaining on his contract at Newcastle.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Kieran Trippier has played a key role in a new era at Newcastle. <cite>Serena Taylor\/Newcastle United via Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>However, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe is said to be reluctant to lose the 33-year-old defender, who played a key role in the club&#39;s transformation process which saw them qualify for the Champions League for the first time in 20 years last season.<\/p>\n<p>Trippier joined Newcastle in January 2022 and was named the club&#39;s player of the year following the end of his first full season at the club in 2022-23.<\/p>\n<p>If Trippier were to move to Munich, he would become the third former Spurs player signed by the German club in the last five months, following the arrivals of Eric Dier on January 11 and Harry Kane in August 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bayern Munich improve bid for Newcastle&#8217;s Trippier &#8211;
