New iPhone 15 ad puts the spotlight on the cool “Check In” feature\u060c<\/p>\n

One of the coolest new features in iOS 17 is \u201cCheck In\u201d which alerts your parents or friends when you arrive at a pre-selected destination. In September, we explained how to configure the feature created to provide peace of mind to those who have a loved one traveling and are worried about them arriving at their destination safely. And now, Apple is promoting \u201cCheck In\u201d with the latest ad for the iPhone<\/a> 15. The ad is called \u201cCheck In\/New Driver.\u201d<\/div>\n
With the song “Goodbye” by Aloe Blacc playing in the background, we see a father nervously looking at his daughter who has most likely just received her driver's license. Driving in reverse out of a long driveway, the teenage driver rides a skateboard and crashes into a trash can, leaving some of its contents strewn across the road. The father looks extremely worried, wondering if his daughter is able to drive safely to her destination, which is her school.<\/p>\n

Suddenly, the father's iPhone rings and he rushes to grab the device. Looking at the screen, he sees a notification that says, “Megan. Checking in: Arrived at school.” The father finally exhales knowing that his daughter drove to her classes and arrived safely. The slogans read: “Register automatically. Relax, it's iPhone.”<\/p>\n

This is a great feature for nervous parents, friends, and other family members. When we explained how to use this feature almost four months ago, we showed how to set it up to drive to Boston's iconic Fenway Park. The whole process starts in the Messages app<\/a> and can be configured for those who travel by car, use public transportation, or walk to their destination. Once set up, \u201cCheck In\u201d will automatically send a notification to the family and friends you choose when you have reached the end of your trip.<\/p>\n
