It was a patent owned by Masimo that Apple infringed with the pulse oximeter feature that caused this whole legal mess.  Customs ruled that Apple could sell the watches in the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/united\/\"   title=\"United\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">United<\/a> States if the pulse oximeter was disabled and the tech giant plans to do so starting tomorrow at 6 a.m. PST\/9 a.m. EST on apple.com and tomorrow during regular hours at US Apple Stores.  .<\/div>\n<div>Apple left a statement with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2024\/01\/17\/apple-watch-series-9-ultra-2-without-blood-oxygen-sensor\/\" class=\"external\">9to5Mac<\/a> which said: \u201cApple&#39;s appeal is ongoing and we believe the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit should overturn the USITC&#39;s decision.  We strongly disagree with the USITC&#39;s decision and the resulting orders.  Pending the appeal, Apple is taking steps to comply while ensuring customers have access to the Apple Watch with limited disruption.<\/div>\n<p>Apple added: &#8220;These steps include introducing a version of the <span>Apple Watch <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/series\/\"   title=\"Series\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Series<\/a> 9<\/span> And <span>Apple Watch Ultra2<\/span> in the United States without the Blood Oxygen feature.  There is no impact on previously purchased Apple Watch units that include the Blood Oxygen feature. <span>Apple Watch Series 9<\/span> And <span>Apple Watch Ultra2<\/span> without Blood Oxygen will be available on apple.com starting at 6 a.m. PT on January 18 and in Apple Stores starting January 18.<\/p>\n<p>Apple has not said whether it plans to reduce the price of affected watches since the pulse oximeter will be disabled.  Anyone trying to use it on a <span>Apple Watch Series 9<\/span> Or <span>Apple Watch Ultra2<\/span> The model purchased tomorrow will see a message saying: &#8220;The Blood Oxygen <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/app\/\"   title=\"app\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">app<\/a> is no longer available.
