{"id":20357,"date":"2024-01-17T23:26:32","date_gmt":"2024-01-17T20:26:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/20357\/novak-djokovic-calls-out-heckling\/"},"modified":"2024-01-17T23:26:33","modified_gmt":"2024-01-17T20:26:33","slug":"novak-djokovic-calls-out-heckling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=20357","title":{"rendered":"Novak Djokovic calls out heckling fan at Australian Open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Novak Djokovic calls out heckling fan at Australian Open\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>MELBOURNE, Australia \u2014 Novak Djokovic invited a rowdy spectator to confront him face-to-face Wednesday at the Australian Open.<\/p>\n<p>During the fourth set of his second-round match against local favorite Alexei Popyrin, Djokovic walked to the back of the court and shouted at the spectator.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of things were told to me on the court, especially from that corner, and from the same side of the other corner,\u201d Djokovic said after his 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (4) , Victory 6-3.  \u201cI tolerated it for most of the match.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#39;s Choice<\/h2>\n<p>2 Related<\/p>\n<\/aside>\n<p>&#8220;At one point I had enough and asked him if he wanted to come down and tell me to my face. Unfortunately for him, he didn&#39;t have the courage to come down.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic didn&#39;t reveal what the heckler told him, saying &#8220;you don&#39;t want to know [what he said]&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Eurosport analyst Nick Kyrgios commented during the exchange that the fan should not have &#8220;poked the bear&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic said: &#8220;I was asking [the heckler]\u201cIf you have courage, if you are such a tough <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/man\/\"   title=\"man\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">man<\/a>, a tough guy, come tell me to my face and let\u2019s talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Djokovic overcame his own struggles and the rowdy crowd at Rod Laver Arena to <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/win\/\"   title=\"win\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">win<\/a> his 30th consecutive match at the Australian Open, which he has won 10 times.
