Tottenham’s Eric Dier to join Bayern in \u20ac4m deal – sources\u060c<\/p>\n

Bayern Munich are set to sign Tottenham defender Eric Dier for a fee of around 4 million euros ($4.3 million), sources have told ESPN.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old arrived in Germany on Thursday morning ahead of a medical after personal terms were agreed.<\/p>\n

Bayern wanted to sign Radu Dr\u0103gu\u0219in and tabled an offer to rival that of Spurs for a total fee of around \u20ac30 million, but the Genoa defender opted to move to north London, forcing the Bundesliga club to look for alternative options.<\/p>\n

Dier is out of contract at Tottenham this summer and has been deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Ange Postecoglou.<\/p>\n

Despite the absence of central defenders Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero for long periods this season, Postecoglou has preferred to use full-backs Ben Davies and Emerson Royal at the heart of his defence.<\/p>\n
