Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton avoided serious injury, with an MRI revealing he simply suffered a grade 1 left hamstring strain, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Haliburton's status is expected to be reevaluated in about two weeks, but there is relief because he avoided serious injury, sources told ESPN.<\/p>\n

Haliburton was heading toward the hoop during Monday's win<\/a> over the Boston Celtics when he stopped and slipped, forcing him to do a split. He immediately grabbed his left thigh and turned around in pain before his teammates were forced to carry him back to the locker room with 3:10 left in the first half.<\/p>\n

Haliburton is averaging a team-high 23.6 points and a league-high 12.5 assists in 33 games. The Pacers are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.<\/p>\n
