{"id":18053,"date":"2024-01-05T04:27:49","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T01:27:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/18053\/google-meet-update-adds-improvements\/"},"modified":"2024-01-05T04:27:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-05T01:27:50","slug":"google-meet-update-adds-improvements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=18053","title":{"rendered":"Google Meet update adds improvements to one viewing experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Google Meet update adds improvements to one viewing experience\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Google Meet&#39;s first major update of 2024 brings a handful of improvements to a specific viewing experience that debuted last year: ultra-low latency live streaming.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically designed for streaming video meetings within an organization, the ultra-low latency viewing experience now benefits from several enhancements intended to improve the overall experience.<\/p>\n<p>According to the official changelog, one of the important improvements included in the update is the ability for meeting organizers to add or <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/start\/\"   title=\"start\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">start<\/a> live streaming from any ongoing Meet call (even if it was not originally planned to be broadcast live).<\/p>\n<p>Also, Google <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/workspaceupdates.googleblog.com\/2024\/01\/google-meet-ultra-low-latency-live-streaming-improvements.html\" class=\"external\">Remarks<\/a> that after the update, the video stream should start faster when joining live streams with large audiences.  Most importantly, viewing live streams from the Google Meet mobile <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/app\/\"   title=\"app\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">app<\/a> on Android and iOS devices is finally supported.<\/p>\n<div id=\"gallery-c37f38ca-ddcf-4e29-a2a0-7ec605fc3af3\" class=\"single-image-container  image-c\" style=\"width:498px;max-width:100%\">\n<div class=\"gallery-item\">\n<picture style=\"padding-top: 200.80321285141%\"><source media=\"(max-width: 350px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 351px) and (max-width: 500px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 501px) and (max-width: 800px)\" ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Google-Meet-update-adds-improvements-to-one-viewing-experience.jpg\" alt=\"Google Meet update adds improvements to a visual experience\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Another cool improvement added with the latest update is the ability to see audience size (call participants and viewers) in the live stream indicator at the top left.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the join screen has been redesigned to include a quick access button.  This will allow meeting participants to join a live stream rather than a regular call if they choose.<\/p>\n<p>Google says these changes are now rolling out to Android and iOS users.
