You can follow Reiss on Twitter at @MikeReiss.<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>FOXBOROUGH, Mass. &#8212; As speculation swirls about New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick&#39;s future, Belichick explained Tuesday why he isn&#39;t getting drawn into uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>The Patriots (4-12) will host the New York Jets on Sunday in the season finale, ending a disappointing season after owner Robert Kraft said in March that it was important to him that the team qualifies for the playoffs.  Belichick, now in his 24th season, is the longest-tenured head coach in the NFL.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRegardless of my successes, I tried to do my job the same way every week: <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/win\/\"   title=\"win\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">win<\/a>, lose, good years, bad years, whatever they were,\u201d Belichick said during his weekly interview with the show \u201cThe\u201d on WEEI sports radio. And at the end of the season, it&#39;s the end of the season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But from one week to the next, I don&#39;t want to waste time, or get caught up in what happened five years ago, or what&#39;s going to happen in two years, and a bunch of other random things. They are currently expected to select No. 3 in the NFL Draft, and Belichick was asked during the radio interview if he was keeping the draft position in mind heading into the season finale.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am committed to the team I coach now, the players who are here,\u201d he replied.  \u201cThey deserve my best every day, and that\u2019s what I\u2019m going to give them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Patriots lost to the Buffalo Bills 27-21 on Sunday in Orchard Park, New York, coming close despite committing four turnovers in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe put ourselves in a hole and fought back, but we couldn&#39;t fight to the end,\u201d Belichick said on WEEI.  \u201cI think the players came in every week, very consistently, and worked hard and tried to correct their mistakes and get ready for the next team&#8230; that&#39;s what these guys did all the time. year &#8211; from the <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/start\/\"   title=\"start\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">start<\/a> of the season. year until last week until Buffalo. People have followed their lead. We&#39;re all just trying to get better and do the best we can.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The offense ranks last in the NFL in points per game (14.5) and the team has a minus-10 turnover differential (17 takeaways, 27 giveaways).
