Wrexham scored three goals in the space of just four minutes of first-half injury time as they secured a 4-1 victory over Barrow at the SToK Racecourse ground on Monday.<\/p>\n

Two goals from striker Steven Fletcher, either side of a superb Paul Mullin free-kick, gave Wrexham all three League Two points.<\/p>\n

Barrow had scored the first goal of the game when Kian Spence collected Elliot Newby's low cross after just 33 seconds to give the away team the lead. <\/p>\n

An interruption in play due to a head injury suffered by Barrow midfielder David Worrall contributed to the addition of 14 minutes at the end of the first half and Wrexham took full advantage.<\/p>\n

Mullin's free-kick was the pick of the three-goal series<\/a> as he celebrated in style signing a new three-year contract on New Year's Day.<\/p>\n

Shortly after the second half kicked off, Barrow midfielder Luca Stephenson, who came off the bench to replace Worrall, suffered a head injury himself and became the second player to being stretched after another long stoppage in play. <\/p>\n

Fletcher completed his hat-trick in the 67th minute by rising high to meet Anthony Forde's cross and direct his header beyond the reach of Barrow keeper Paul Farman.<\/p>\n

Forde came close to scoring Wrexham's fifth goal in the closing stages but was denied by a double save from Farman.<\/p>\n

Third-placed Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's side travel to face League One side Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup third round on January 7. <\/p>\n

Reynolds sent a message of support to injured Barrow, Worrall and Stephenson, in a message on X (formerly known as Twitter) after the match.<\/p>\n
