Australia have suffered another untimely injury setback with leg-spinner Adam Zampa suffering a back spasm ahead of Monday night’s World Cup match against Sri Lanka in Lucknow.<\/p>\n
The 31-year-old, later named player of the match, was seen moving gingerly around the outfield throughout Australia’s five-wicket win at Ekana Stadium, sporadically grimacing in pain and limping off the field after its passage to eight.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the post-match presentation, Zampa confirmed he injured his back during a gym session at the weekend, undergoing a fitness test ahead of Monday’s crucial match.<\/p>\n
“To be honest, I don’t feel good,” Zampa confessed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI’ve had a few back spasms the last few days.<\/p>\n
\u201cI tried to get out of it\u2026my back hurt really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
