It will get along with your iPhone great thanks to next-gen CarPlay\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The next generation of CarPlay has been teased by Apple for years now, starting in 2022, promising many things to come, including an immersive symbiosis between the iPhone and the car.  But since then, things have been pretty calm\u2026 until now.<\/p>\n<p>Two premium car brands have announced that they will support next-generation CarPlay: Porsche and Aston Martin (via <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/9to5mac.com\/2023\/12\/20\/first-cars-with-next-generation-carplay-officially-announced\/\" class=\"external\">9to5Mac<\/a>).  So the Porsche you&#39;re preparing to buy in 2024 will get along very well with your <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/iphone\/\"   title=\"iPhone\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">iPhone<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis next generation of CarPlay is the ultimate iPhone experience for the car,\u201d Apple says.  The Cupertino giant promises that it will provide &#8220;content for all driver screens, including the instrument cluster, ensuring a cohesive design experience that is the best of your car and your iPhone.&#8221;  There will be the ability to control \u201cvehicle functions such as radio and temperature\u201d directly from CarPlay.  \u201cAnd customization options from widgets to gauge cluster model selection make it unique to the driver.\u201d  Michael Mauer, Porsche vice president of styling, says:<\/p>\n<div class=\"quote quote-auto nolinks\" style=\"width: 85.0%\">\n<p>We recently integrated the My Porsche <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/app\/\"   title=\"app\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">app<\/a> with CarPlay to give drivers even easier access to the car&#39;s features, and in the future we will add support for the next generation of CarPlay to Porsche models.  We look forward to delivering an experience that adds the personal touch of a driver&#39;s iPhone with the exclusivity of a Porsche.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, there is no clarity on which Porsche models will get next-gen CarPlay support \u2013 new or existing.  The same goes for Aston Martin, which also confirmed it would support next-gen CarPlay, but didn&#39;t specify which cars would benefit.  Interestingly enough, Aston Martin was not on Apple&#39;s initial list of automakers that would support next-gen CarPlay.<\/p>\n<p>The original list of automakers that have signed on so far to support next-gen CarPlay included Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, Lincoln, Audi, Volvo, Honda, Porsche, Nissan, Ford, Jaguar, Acura, Polestar, Infiniti and Renault.  .\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Want to buy a Porsche in 2024?
