The information suggests that &#8220;the next generation of connectors [Apple] Watch\u201d will be \u201ccompletely redesigned\u201d and Kosutami urges users to \u201cliterally, if you have old bands now, just sell them.\u201d  It\u2019s 100% accurate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here is the tweet:<\/p>\n<div>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The connectors of the next generation of \uf8ffWatch have been completely redesigned\u2026<br \/>Literally, if you have old bands now, sell them. The current system would &#8220;take up a considerable amount of space&#8221; inside the Apple Watch, which Apple engineers say could be better used by a larger battery or other components.  The Bloomberg report briefly describes the new Apple Watch band design as featuring a \u201cmagnetic attachment.\u201d  system&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>X\/Twiiter tipster Kosutami does not specify whether all Apple Watch models should benefit from the new design (and incompatible with current Apple Watches), but we will have to wait until September 2024 for an official confirmation from the Cupertino giant.<\/p>\n<p>If confirmed, it will be very big news, considering that Apple has used the same system for attaching its smartwatch strap since the release of the first generation model in 2015. The company has even maintained compatibility thanks to several different form factor changes and with the Apple Watch.
