We are a few days away from 2024 and for Xiaomi and Chinese phone connoisseurs, that means one thing and one thing only: \u201cGoodbye, MIUI, hello HyperOS!\u201d<\/p>\n

Xiaomi announced the discontinuation of the MIUI operating system as early as October 2023 and announced that it would replace it with HyperOS, adding that its latest Xiaomi 14 flagships would come pre-installed with HyperOS. <\/p>\n

Now, Xiaomi has compiled a 3-minute video titled \u201cA Journey Through Time \u2013 The Evolution of MIUI,\u201d which is pretty self-explanatory and delivers on its promises (via Android titles<\/a>). <\/p>\n

The brief video walkthrough covers each version of MIUI (and its defining features), starting with the first one which debuted in 2010. Notable changes and features of the various versions of MIUI are not only mentioned, they are displayed via animations and screenshots. quite nostalgic, if you are a die-hard MIUI fan.<\/p>\n

Which phones will benefit first from the new HyperOS?<\/h2>\n

Xiaomi announced on Twitter that a total of eight devices will get the HyperOS upgrade in the first three months of 2024.<\/p>\n
