{"id":1570,"date":"2023-10-16T16:22:07","date_gmt":"2023-10-16T13:22:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/1570\/apple-iphone-15-series-china-sales-far-worse-than-iphone-14_id151619\/"},"modified":"2023-11-03T00:35:17","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T21:35:17","slug":"apple-iphone-15-series-china-sales-far-worse-than-iphone-14_id151619","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=1570","title":{"rendered":"Apple&#8217;s iPhone 15 series is reportedly selling &#8216;far worse&#8217; than the iPhone 14 in China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Apple&#8217;s iPhone 15 series is reportedly selling &#8216;far worse&#8217; than the iPhone 14 in China\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Released worldwide less than a month ago, the <span>iPhone15<\/span>15 Plus, 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max seem to have already been involved in more controversies than the <span>iPhone14<\/span> family in its entire existence thus far, with legitimate durability issues followed by relatively widespread out-of-the-box defects, even more frequent overheating issues, and several other bugs that don&#8217;t appear to have been universally fixed and satisfactory.<\/p>\n<div>While it&#8217;s currently unclear whether all this negative press and unfavorable reporting from so many early adopters around the world has had any effect on the quartet&#8217;s recent sales figures, several reputable sources claim that Apple is not doing very well at the crucial Chinese box office.  .<\/div>\n<h2>How bad is it?<\/h2>\n<p>These estimates currently appear to range from bad to&#8230;worse for Apple, as estimated by Counterpoint Research. <span>iPhone15<\/span> programming is about 4.5 percent behind the <span>iPhone14<\/span> <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/series\/\"   title=\"series\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">series<\/a> after 17 days of measured availability in the region while analysts at Jefferies put the year-over-year decline at double digits, which would clearly be a terrible outcome for the world&#8217;s second-largest smartphone vendor.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div id=\"gallery-ebf9b0b7-d50b-45ed-ac97-9fbecfb70332\" class=\"single-image-container full-width-element\">\n<div class=\"gallery-item\">\n<picture style=\"padding-top: 66.666666666667%\"><source media=\"(max-width: 350px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 351px) and (max-width: 500px)\" ><source media=\"(min-width: 501px) and (max-width: 800px)\" ><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Apples-iPhone-15-series-is-reportedly-selling-far-worse-than.jpg\" alt=\"The iPhone 15 Pro Max and 14 Pro Max (pictured here) may be similar, but they apparently aren't as successful, at least in China.  - Apple's iPhone 15 series reportedly sells 'much worse' than iPhone 14 in China\"\/><\/noscript><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/picture>\n<\/div>\n<p>The iPhone 15 <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/pro\/\"   title=\"Pro\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Pro<\/a> Max and 14 Pro Max (pictured here) may be similar, but they apparently aren&#8217;t as successful, at least in China.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div>Apple, mind you, also held second place in the overall sales by manufacturer chart in China between April and June 2023, while settling for just fourth place in the third quarter of 2022. It&#8217;s too early to know how Counterpoint, for example, will close its China Shipments Report for the third calendar quarter of this year, but at least Huawei is poised to beat Apple due, among other things, to the enormous popularity of the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/2683\/original_title-37\/\">Mate 60 Pro<\/a>.<\/div>\n<div>Huawei was ranked (well) behind Apple in its home country in <a href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/2536\/q3-sees-initial-global-smartphone\/\">Q3<\/a> 2022 and Q2 2023, and is now predicted to prevail in this head-to-head premium battle for the entire year. &#8216;next year. <\/div>\n<div>Of course, it&#8217;s far from Apple&#8217;s only major regional rival, and as China remains a very value-driven market, brands like Vivo and <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/oppo\/\"   title=\"Oppo\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">Oppo<\/a> and even Honor and Xiaomi will likely contribute more to the company&#8217;s problems. iPhone 15 family.
