{"id":14978,"date":"2023-12-15T19:38:21","date_gmt":"2023-12-15T16:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/14978\/pl-bosses-have-duty-to\/"},"modified":"2023-12-15T19:38:22","modified_gmt":"2023-12-15T16:38:22","slug":"pl-bosses-have-duty-to","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=14978","title":{"rendered":"PL bosses have duty to improve game &#8211; Arsenal boss Arteta"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>PL bosses have duty to improve game &#8211; Arsenal boss Arteta\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Mikel Arteta says Premier League bosses have a duty to improve the game and insists he is motivated to help match officials reduce mistakes which can lead to managerial sackings.<\/p>\n<p>An independent commission on Thursday cleared the 41-year-old of any wrongdoing after he was charged by the Football Association (FA) over his post-match comments following Arsenal&#39;s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle on November 4.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Stream on ESPN+: LaLiga, Bundesliga, more (US)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arteta called the decision to allow Anthony Gordon&#39;s 64th-minute goal &#8220;shameful&#8221;, &#8220;embarrassing&#8221; and that &#8220;I feel sick being part of this&#8221;, prompting the FA to accuse him of violation of rule E3.1: \u201cinsulting match officials and\/or detrimental to the game and\/or bringing the game into disrepute.<\/p>\n<p>However, Arsenal hired a defense lawyer to support Arteta and the Spaniard requested a personal hearing in which he successfully argued that his comments were aimed at wider frustrations over the application of VAR rather than to denigrate individual officials.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Mikel Arteta has not been charged by the FA over his comments following his side&#39;s defeat to Newcastle. <cite>Getty<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>It was revealed in the independent commission&#39;s written reasons that Arteta met with the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) referee body, Premier League representatives and Premier League managers on November 2 to discuss VAR .<\/p>\n<p>Asked if he felt vindicated after the FA&#39;s accusation was not proven, Arteta said on Friday: &#8220;I think it was a really good and well-run process. It gave us gave both of us the opportunity to say what we felt and the reasons behind it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;OK, the bottom line is I&#39;m not charged, but I think we need to draw the line now and see how we can be more constructive, learn from it and move forward. It was good. I felt a lot of sympathy. to be honest, I explained the pressure we feel as managers and how important details are to our work.<\/p>\n<p>Arteta then cited the 14 Premier League managers who lost their jobs last season, a record for a single season.  This figure is also higher than the first seven Premier League seasons combined.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love what I do so much and I want to keep doing it,\u201d Arteta said.  &#8220;The reality is that 14 managers have lost their jobs and we depend on the results. When the result is so important, we are very emotional.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one remembers a loss three weeks ago for some reason. So I think it was a really good process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Asked if he thought PGMOL were ready to improve, Arteta said: &#8220;It&#39;s not about them, it&#39;s us. We want to play the game better. It&#39;s about to know how we can improve on the touchline to make life easier on the players&#39; side.&#8221;  their [officials] side, from a technology and club perspective.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#39;s all up to us. We&#39;re all in this together, it&#39;s not about separate people trying to do their part.
