{"id":13595,"date":"2023-12-07T19:37:36","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T16:37:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/13595\/u-s-firm-arctos-buys-stake\/"},"modified":"2023-12-07T19:37:37","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T16:37:37","slug":"u-s-firm-arctos-buys-stake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=13595","title":{"rendered":"U.S. firm Arctos buys stake in PSG, values team at over $4bn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>U.S. firm Arctos buys stake in PSG, values team at over $4bn\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The American private equity group Arctos Partners has acquired a minority equity stake in French champion Paris Saint-Germain, the Ligue 1 club announced on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>A source told ESPN that Arctos would buy a 12.5% \u200b\u200bstake, valuing PSG at 4 billion euros ($4.32 billion), a record valuation for a <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/football\/\"   title=\"football\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">football<\/a> club.<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Stream on ESPN+: LaLiga, Bundesliga, more (US)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PSG said Arctos&#39; investment would be used to develop the club&#39;s operations and support its real estate initiatives, including the stadium and training center.<\/p>\n<p>Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), which bought PSG in 2011, will continue to have full control of the club and its decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>Arctos will be a non-controlling owner and will have no influence on sporting matters on the pitch, PSG said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs a club and institution, we are entering the next <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/exciting\/\"   title=\"exciting\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">exciting<\/a> phase of PSG&#39;s growth and development, on and off the pitch, which is built on long-term ambitions and excellence in everything we do &#8220;, said PSG president Nasser Al-.  said Khelaifi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArctos is a fantastic partner to help us achieve our goals, bringing strategic expertise, ideas and innovation to our business, whilst providing investment and new relationships to support our football and sporting objectives.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>PSG have won nine Ligue 1 titles since QSI took over the club.
