{"id":13122,"date":"2023-12-06T00:09:53","date_gmt":"2023-12-05T21:09:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/13122\/ravel-morrison-fined-for-using\/"},"modified":"2023-12-06T00:09:53","modified_gmt":"2023-12-05T21:09:53","slug":"ravel-morrison-fined-for-using","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/?p=13122","title":{"rendered":"Ravel Morrison fined for using dead person&#8217;s parking permit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ravel Morrison fined for using dead person&#8217;s parking permit\u060c<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison has been fined for using a deceased person&#39;s parking permit.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester Magistrates&#39; Court heard that in May this year the 30-year-old parked his Audi S3 on Bridgewater Street in the city using a blue badge, which allows people with reduced mobility to park closer to their destination.<\/p>\n<p>The license was registered in the name of a person who died last year.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Ravel Morrison was most recently with MLS side DC <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/tag\/united\/\"   title=\"United\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\">United<\/a>. <cite>Andrew Katsampes\/ISI Photos\/Getty Images<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Morrison pleaded guilty to one count of fraud, saying he bought the badge from someone for \u00a350 ($63.09).  He was fined \u00a31,000 plus costs and a victim surcharge.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for Manchester City Council said the decision showed the law was &#8220;applicable to everyone, without exception&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester-born Morrison was scouted for United&#39;s academy and signed a professional contract on his 17th birthday in 2010, but has only played three times for the club, all in the League Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The midfielder, who also played for West Ham United, Sheffield United and Derby County, last played for DC United.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ravel Morrison fined for using dead person&#8217;s parking permit\u060c Former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison has been fined for using a deceased person&#39;s parking permit.
