You can see Turron on ESPN Radio on his show &#8220;Talking with TD&#8221; and you can follow him on Twitter: @TDavenport_NFL.<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>NASHVILLE, Tenn. \u2014 Titans head coach Mike Vrabel announced Monday that the team has fired special teams coach Craig Aukerman.<\/p>\n<p>Vrabel named special teams assistant Tom Quinn to replace Aukerman.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt like it was the best thing for the team,\u201d Vrabel said Monday.  &#8220;I&#39;m excited about the possibility of Tom Quinn leading this group. He brings a lot of experience and knowledge. He&#39;s an excellent teacher.&#8221;<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline inline-photo full\">\n<figure><picture><source data- media=\"(min-width: 376px)\"><source data- media=\"(max-width: 375px)\"><img class=\" lazyload lazyload\" data-image-container=\".inline-photo\" height=\"320\" width=\"570\"\/><\/source><\/source><\/picture><figcaption class=\"photoCaption\">Craig Aukerman, who was fired Monday, was in his sixth season as the Titans&#39; special teams coordinator. <cite>AP Photo\/Phelan M. Ebenhack, file<\/cite><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/aside>\n<p>The decision came after the Titans&#39; 31-28 overtime loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.  The Colts returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.  Punter Ryan Stonehouse fumbled on a second punt attempt and injured his knee.<\/p>\n<p>Vrabel announced that Stonehouse&#39;s injury would require season-ending surgery.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"inline editorial float-r\" data-behavior=\"article_related\">\n<h2 class=\"editorial-title\">Editor&#39;s Choice<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wikidollar.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/Titans-fire-special-teams-coordinator-after-punting-miscues.jpg&#038;w=130&#038;h=130&#038;scale=crop&#038;location=center.jpeg\" width=\"65\" height=\"65\"\/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/aside>\n<p>Quinn is in his first season with the Titans in 2023. The 32-year veteran coach was with the New York Giants from 2006 to 2021.
