Check out this post from a user named “Sabila89” who writes: “We ordered 2 iPhone15 Pro Max for delivery from Apple and the phones delivered are iPhone 14 Pro Max, with blocked IMEI numbers. Now Apple is not refunding us .We \u201cWe have been cheated out of our hard earned money. Can anyone tell us how to proceed in this situation?”<\/div>\n

Several UK consumers ordered an iPhone 15 Pro Max from Apple and received another device instead

A similar situation occurred with several UK consumers, including one using the name “RobWhistler” who wrote: “I ordered a iPhone 15 Pro Max<\/span> in Blue Titanium and received a fake iPhone 14 Pro Max<\/span> – realized after opening the box and seeing a Lightning port on the bottom instead of a USB-C! Reported to Apple, reported to the police, reported to Barclays. Nobody cares and I have been told that after two investigations by Apple and one by Barclays, no further action will be taken, no refund, no replacement.”<\/p>\n

A poster with the username “Chris-J-88” on the community forum ordered iPhone 15 Pro Max<\/span> from Apple and I received a purple iPhone 14 Pro Max<\/span>. He gave us some insight into how Apple defends itself against these strange occurrences. He wrote: \u201cOne of their representatives told me there was no way they could have put the 14 in there by mistake, so it must have been changed after they shipped. \u00bb<\/div>\n
He added: “What worries me is that they contacted the carrier and they said that no one [on] their end had affected him, so Apple now concludes that it must be me who is trying to defraud them. Surely they can see where the 15 is\/has been activated. I can’t believe I bought a phone for \u00a31,200, received the wrong item and have to accept it.”<\/div>\n
