A few days ago, a tipster on X (formerly Twitter) pointed to an upcoming Nothing Phone with model number A142. Turns out the phone has just been listed on India’s BIS, signaling an imminent launch in the country (among other things).<\/p>\n
Unannounced carrier model number A142 is similar to the original Nothing Phone (A063) and Nothing Phone 2 (A065). It comes with a new battery with model number NT03. Unfortunately, details on the BIS listing are scarce, meaning we don’t know the device’s actual nickname. However, this isn’t the first time the A142 has appeared in leaks. It is often associated with an upcoming budget phone with the moniker Nothing Phone 2a.<\/p>\n
As the name suggests, the phone will likely follow in the footsteps of the Nothing Phone 1 with its Glyph interface. An image showing the alleged 2a phone can be seen below, showing the dual camera<\/a> setup with a Glyph interface.<\/p>\n Coming to the specifications, reports suggest that Nothing Phone 2a will receive a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a centrally placed punch-hole cutout for the front camera. That’s all we know for now about the aforementioned Phone 2a.<\/p>\n London-based Nothing launched its successor Nothing Phone 2 in India on July 11 starting at INR 39,999\/-. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 45W fast charging, and a 4,700mAh built-in battery.
