Apple recently released iOS 17.2 beta 4, which is likely one of the last steps before the iOS 17<\/span>.2 official release next December. As such, this gives us a very good idea of \u200b\u200bwhat to expect from the next software update. <\/p>\n

When it comes to software updates, it’s safe to say that iOS 17<\/span>.2 is major because it introduces several important new features and restores others. We’re finally getting the Journal app<\/a> Apple announced at WWDC’23, and iOS users will finally be able to customize the default notification alert. <\/p>\n

Let’s go further and explore what’s new in the next software update.<\/div>\n
iOS 17<\/span>.2 will of course be available on all iPhones that have received iOS 17<\/span>which means iPhone<\/a> XS and later, including iPhone SE (2020) and later. <\/div>\n

The Journal application will most certainly arrive with the next iOS 17<\/span>.2 version. The digital journal allows you to write about your days and recall photo and video<\/a> memories, as well as other important media, contacts and places. <\/div>\n

Essentially, if you fall asleep and your music continues to play while, say, sleep mode is enabled, you won’t distort your virtual music tastes. <\/div>\n

With iOS 17<\/span>.2, the iPhone 15 Pro<\/a> Max and iPhone 15 Pro will benefit from the Spatial Video Recording feature, which will allow either device to record videos that are to be viewed on the Apple virtual headset VisionPro. Sure you can! However, you will need to access the public beta channel and while these are generally stable, consider staying on the official release channel for a more stable and bug-free experience.
