The Silver Ferns admit they “didn’t react quickly enough” during their 10-goal opening game loss but have vowed to show more fight in game two in Brisbane on Sunday.<\/p>\n

This is the final match of the Australian Constellation Cup stage before the series goes through the ditch next week.<\/p>\n

Sophie Garbin is expected to play more time, Sophie Dwyer saw no action in the opener, while midfielder Paige Hadley was given the nod following her knee injury suffered against the Ferns on Thursday.<\/p>\n

For New Zealand, the visitors will need to find more firepower in attack – with Grace Nweke making a late charge to prove her fitness.<\/p>\n

The star has not played since injuring her knee during World Cup<\/a> group play – but she trained well on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Star defender Karin Burger said it was “back to the drawing board” for the visitors ahead of the second game.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverything we said they were going to do, that\u2019s what they did \u2013 we didn\u2019t respond properly or quickly enough,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
