However, since then the Edinburgh branch of the promoter has requested that these posts be removed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"is-style-normal is-style-heading-rubik\" id=\"h-what-was-the-issue\">What was the problem ?<\/h2>\n<p>In a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/insiderockstarnorth.blogspot.com\/2023\/11\/sorry-you-missed-it.html\">recent post<\/a> Titled &#8220;Sorry You Missed It,&#8221; former CTO Obbe Vermeij said he was contacted specifically by Rockstar North, saying some team members were &#8220;upset&#8221; about the blog.  As a result, he has since deleted the old posts, but hopes it will be possible to continue at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Vermeij was talking about his time at Rockstar North, where he started with the company in 1995 when it was called DMA Design.  The posts revealed some interesting information about some of the classic games he helped create.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Kotaku article is not accurate.  I deleted the blog because it seemed to annoy my former colleagues at Rockstar North.<br \/>There has been no contact with R* New York.  No legal threat. There has also been talk about the elusive Agent, a supposed stealth action game developed by Rockstar.<\/p>\n<p>Although Vermeij was under the impression that the studio wouldn&#8217;t mind him &#8220;talking about 20-year-old games,&#8221; he made it clear that he was not threatened with legal action. <\/p>\n<p>A recent tweet from him stated that he deleted the blog because it &#8220;seemed to annoy&#8221; his former colleagues at Rockstar North.  He insists he was not given a cease and desist order or silenced.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, <strong>Rock star<\/strong> he himself has not commented publicly on the blog.
