Remember the TCL Tab 10 Gen 2 unveiled internationally by the TV industry veteran a few months ago and released in the US last week? Don’t worry, we’re here to refresh your memory… or rather to make sure you know about this mid-ranger, and to recommend it as a possible alternative to the Samsung<\/a> Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and Tab S6 Lite for the holidays.<\/p>\n

Technically priced at $189.99 but actually available for $20 less right off the bat, the Android 13<\/span>The 10.4-inch DC motor-powered model is now $51 off on top of its US launch markdown. In total, you’re looking at shaving $71 (or 37%) off the list price of $189.99 as of this writing, although, oddly enough, this particular Amazon Black Friday 2023 deal is only open ‘to Prime subscribers of the e-commerce giant.<\/div>\n
If you can (and want to) meet this particular requirement, it’s certainly hard to argue with the (theoretical) value the TCL Tab 10 Gen 2 provides at its incredibly low pre-holiday price. There aren’t many budget tablets with this bad boy’s premium metal build and ultra-thin 7.4mm profile, but given that last detail, you shouldn’t be shocked to learn that the Battery life isn’t great, only up to 9 hours of uninterrupted video<\/a> playback (according to official, often exaggerated, claims).<\/div>\n

On the decidedly positive side of things (both figuratively and literally), there’s no doubting the quality of this 10.4-inch NXTVision display with 2K resolution and 350 nits peak brightness, especially if you’re familiar with excellent TVs from TCL.<\/p>\n

The 128GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM are also remarkably generous for the sub-$150 price bracket, and compared to something like the more expensive Lenovo Tab P11 (Gen 2), The TCL Tab 10 Gen 2 has a key advantage in the relatively new version of the operating system, it is ready to use. <\/div>\n
Will you ever get an Android 14 update?
