The company claims 8x speed for transformer-based generative AI and 2x improvement in integer and floating point calculations.  According to AI Benchmark v5, AI performance increases by 3.3 times, promising a substantial advancement in AI capabilities for mid-range mobile devices.<\/p>\n<p>The Dimensity 8300 introduces support for LPDDR5X RAM at speeds up to 8,533 Mbps, a necessity for efficiently running LLMs.  Manufactured on TSMC&#8217;s 2nd generation 4nm process, the chipset features an octa-core processor featuring four Arm Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores built on Arm&#8217;s latest v9 processor architecture.  This configuration results in 20% faster CPU performance and a maximum power efficiency gain of 30% compared to its predecessor.<\/p>\n<div>Additionally, the Mali-G615 MC6 GPU upgrade in the Dimensity 8300 results in a 60% increase in performance and a 55% improvement in power efficiency.  Budget phones with this chip could be a good choice for savvy gamers who watch their wallets.<\/div>\n<p>Speaking of gaming, MediaTek&#8217;s new chipset features &#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">adaptive gaming technology<\/span>&#8220;, optimizing smartphone games with AI performance prediction. This not only reduces power consumption at maximum speeds, but also provides 24% faster scene switching.
