It turns out that pop singer Dua Lipa also runs a podcast (these days, which doesn’t<\/span>?) and has as guest none other than Apple CEO, Tim Cook.<\/p>\n You might think he has more important things on his agenda \u2013 like, you know, releasing the Vision Pro on time as promised, not late as rumor has it. Of course, appearing on a podcast isn’t just fun, it’s also a PR opportunity.<\/p>\n Both I spoke for 45 minutes<\/a>during which the executive spoke about his personal life, his career at Apple, philanthropy, the environment and much more (via 9to5Mac<\/a>).<\/p>\n Tim shared some details about his personal life and childhood \u2013 Cook said he always wanted to have a good job, as he came from a modest family. He revealed that when he was a teenager, he delivered newspapers in his neighborhood in the middle of the night and worked making hamburgers to save money for college<\/a>.<\/p>\n After graduating from Auburn University, he worked for 12 years at IBM, then joined Apple in 1998. When asked about Steve Jobs, Cook said that “Steve was original” and that only he could have created Apple . The executive also said that “if Steve were alive, he would still be CEO.”<\/p>\n At one point, the singer asked Tim Cook<\/span> on the excessive use of smartphones, particularly among young people. Tim Cook<\/span> agreed that some people need to be more moderate in using their smartphones, which is why Apple created the Screen Time feature. \u201cThe aha moment for me was how many notifications I was getting per day,\u201d he said.<\/p>\nWhat about child labor?<\/h2>\n
