Bazball added to dictionary – ESPN،
Brendon McCullum may not be a fan of it, but it’s clear that the term named after him, Bazball, has captured the zeitgeist. It has now entered the Collins Dictionary where it is described as: “a style of Test cricket in which the batting team plays very aggressively”.
We are particularly touched by the news because “Bazball” was coined by Andrew Miller, editor-in-chief of ESPNcricinfo in the United Kingdom. In an episode of the Switch Hit podcast recorded before the start of the England v New Zealand series in June 2022, he used it to describe the positive style of play that McCullum’s former team had adopted under his captaincy.
Bazball is now official, at least lexically speaking. (Well done â¦@miller_cricketâ ©!) https://t.co/OBpXMu3TSW
