Amazfit Active Edge To Feature 5 Satellite Positioning System And 16 Days Battery Life،
Amazfit is set to launch another smartwatch in India: the Amazfit Active Edge. Most recently, the company announced the upcoming wearable via an Amazon microsite, which revealed many details. The teaser comes soon after the company launched the Amazfit Active, a Rs. 9,999 price tag. 12,999 wearable with a rectangular screen and several health and fitness monitoring features.
Amazfit Active Edge will arrive in three colors
The Amazon microsite reveals that the smartwatch will come in three colors, including Lava Black, Midnight Pulse, and Mint Green. From the images, it's clear that the wearable will have a rugged look, with a chunky exterior housing four buttons around the circular dial. The microsite also reveals that the watch will have a water resistance rating of 10 ATM, meaning it should survive swimming or other light water-based workouts.
Users will benefit from many health and fitness related features
The Amazfit Active Edge will come with over 100 watch faces. Users can also personalize some of them to highlight the information that is important to them. Then there is an option to upload an image and set it as your watch face as well. The microsite also reveals that the smartwatch can last up to 16 days in typical use and around 10 days in heavy use. However, with continued use of GPS, battery life drops to 20 hours.
When it comes to fitness-related features, the Amazfit Active Edge can track users' heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and stress. It has more than 130 sports modes, including automatic detection of seven workouts, including outdoor running, treadmills, walking, cycling, etc. It also detects 25 strength exercises. Then there's the Zepp Coach, which recommends personalized workout programs based on users' training and progress.
Another key selling point of the smartwatch is its five satellite positioning systems and navigation feature that provides precise route tracking for outdoor workouts.
Expected price of Amazfit Active Edge in India
While these are all the features of the upcoming smartwatch, its price and availability are unknown. The Amazfit Active Edge is available in the US for $139.99, which is approximately Rs. 9.99. 11,620. Additionally, the Amazfit Active has been launched in India for Rs. 9,999. 12,999. Therefore, we expect the Active Edge to arrive at a slightly lower price. It should be available on Amazon and other retail partners by the end of February.
