Our smartphones can do many things, some of which we didn't even imagine ten or twenty years ago. Take all health and fitness apps for example. Back then, if you wanted a detailed report on your health, you had to go to the GP and give blood samples, have your blood pressure and heart rate taken, etc.

These days, there are apps for everything from counting your calorie intake to tracking your blood ketone levels (I did this during my keto diet period). Some of these apps are amazing; you can just take a photo of your food, and if it's simple enough, the app will estimate your calories.

And if you pair your smartphone with a wearable device, things get even more detailed. Some watches can take your blood pressure and measure blood oxygen levels; it's like wearing a medical laboratory on your wrist.

But all this has a big drawback, at least in my opinion. This is one more thing to think about and keep track of. Granted, most apps do the heavy lifting for you, but you have to manually enter data, review and verify stats, and overall worry about it. This comes with added anxiety if you're a control freak like me and can't get proper rest.

So after a few weeks of diligently entering data and tracking everything I do, I simply stop paying attention to the app and end up deleting it. And you? Do you use apps to track your health and fitness? Do you have the same problems? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts in the comments below.
