Google Contacts testing a separate section to manage all of your contacts’ ringtones،
Google Contacts is testing a new feature that will make managing your contacts’ ringtones easier than ever. Instead of scrolling through menus, you’ll soon have a dedicated section where you can set and preview ringtones for all your contacts.

This feature is however still under development and is not yet active unless certain indicators are changed in the application. The public version of Google Contacts still requires you to open an individual contact and set a specified ringtone for that person or company. Once this feature is finalized, you will be able to manage all contacts’ ringtones from the “Fix & Manage > Ringtones” menu in the app and list all the contacts for whom you have set a custom ringtone in one convenient place.
Part of the improvements announced yesterday included the introduction of “Profiles” linked to the Contacts app and allowing users to customize the profile name and photo associated with their phone number. This will help users set an identity in Google services that can be saved in the People app and linked to your phone number in these group chats.
