Not that T Mobile didn’t have a strong presence in Texas, but Un-carrier just announced plans to open even more physical stores in the state through 2024.
Just in 2023, T Mobile has added 18 new stores to its retail chain across the state, and the carrier plans to open more than a dozen additional stores in the coming months. So far, T-Mobile stores have created about 120 new jobs for the state. It’s not much, but it’s something.
In case you didn’t know, here are the new stores opening in 2023: Bellmead, Bonham, Brenham, Brownfield, Crockett, El Campo, Fort Worth, Frisco, Henderson, Jasper, Kaufman, Liberty, Lindale, Midlothian, Port Lavaca. , San Antonio, Tyler and Vernon.
In addition to opening more stores in the state, T-Mobile announced that since 2021 it has installed more than 1,200 new cell sites and upgraded approximately 2,000 existing sites with 5G wireless service. As a result, T-Mobile’s 5G network now covers 99% of the Texas population across nearly 200,000 square miles.

Thanks to network improvements made by T Mobile, the operator was able to launch 5G home internet in Texas, increasing internet access for residents and businesses. T-Mobile’s 5G home internet is now available in more than 45% of Texas homes, or approximately 6 million homes.
