More Resident Evil Remakes Are Coming, Capcom Confirms،

Given the enormous success of the remake of the fourth resident Evil game, it’s no surprise that fans are clamoring for more. Such hopes may not be in vain, as it was recently confirmed that Capcom wants to create more modern takes on the iconic horror series.

But I don’t know which one

In a recent PlayStation Partner Award, translated by IGNResident Evil 4 Remake director Yasuhiro Anpo said the studio is interested in remaking other RE-branded games.

Anpo was quoted as saying that since a remake “allows a modern audience to play these games, it’s something I’m happy to do as someone who loves these older games, and we want to continue making them more”.

However, at this point, we don’t know exactly which Resident Evil games will be next on the list. While there aren’t many left in the main series that could arguably be ripe for reinvention, there are spinoffs to consider.

For example, the prequel Resident Evil 0 was released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2002, while Code Veronica is even older, released in 2000 for the Sega Dreamcast. However, there are rumors that RE5 could be next. Essentially, Capcom still has a few to choose from.

The Resident Evil 4 remake is the latest in the Japanese studio’s attempts to breathe new life into previous entries in the series. It was welcomed with open arms by fans and critics alike when it was released in March of this year.

Since these classics have been successfully brought into the modern gaming era, many eyes and ears will be on Capcom to find out what other resident Evil the game deserves a remake
