Apple employees leaving the firm are most likely to end up working for Google،

If you’re an Apple employee considering leaving the company, there’s a good chance you’ll end up working at Google. This is the result of a study carried out by Light up business (via Mac 9 to 5) which examined LinkedIn employee profiles from technology companies such as Google (Alphabet), Amazon, Apple, Meta, Microsoft, IBM, Tesla, Oracle, Netflix, Nvidia and Salesforce. The study looked at employees who work at these companies and who had previously worked for one of the other tech companies.
Using this data, Switch On Business was able to determine how many employees moved from one of the aforementioned tech giants to another on the list and also obtained some interesting data. For example, the company that currently employs the largest number of employees who previously worked at another large technology company is Meta. 26.51% of the company’s employees worked for another tech giant, which is the highest percentage among all major tech companies.

While Meta leads in percentage of employees coming from other big tech companies, if you look instead at the number of employees, the 38,316 Googlers coming from another big company are leading the pack, although in percentage terms the figure (24.15%) follows Meta. And IBM has the lowest percentage of employees from any other tech giant at 2.28%.

In case you’re wondering, 5.7% or 16,869 of Apple’s employees came from another major tech company. Apple employees generally came from:

  1. Intel
  2. Microsoft
  3. Amazon
  4. Google
  5. IBM
  6. Oracle
  7. You’re here
  8. Nvidia
  9. Adobe
  10. Meta

Now, if you are an Apple employee and want to leave the company, the companies you would be most likely to join are, in order:

  1. Google
  2. Amazon
  3. Meta
  4. Microsoft
  5. You’re here
  6. Nvidia
  7. Selling power
  8. Adobe
  9. Intel
  10. Oracle

Apple employees leaving the company were more likely to end up at Google. The numbers showed that, by a ratio of two to one, Google was likely to be the next destination for a former Apple employee compared to the next company, Amazon.
