Google Messages is testing new animations that show up when you react with emojis،
Google Messages has received a steady stream of new features this month, and the latest update adds a little more style to your conversations. Following the addition of animated emoji earlier this year, the Google Messages app is now also experimenting with animated emoji reactions.
In Google’s implementation, when you react to a message with certain emojis, you’ll see colorful animations that burst across the screen and highlight the message you’re reacting to – like floating exclamation points, flames, inflatable men, an umbrella, etc. These reactions are currently limited to a few select emojis, but we hope Google expands the list in the future. You can see an example of how these animations work when you react using emoji in the video below:

As Google continues to add new features to Messages, the app becomes more and more feature-rich and user-friendly. The addition of animated emoji reactions is a welcome addition that adds a little more fun and personality to your conversations.
