OnePlus Teases A Speaker, Could Come With Multiple Woofers

Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus is set to launch a new speaker soon. This will expand the company’s audio product portfolio, which currently includes a few wired/wireless headphones and neckbands. Most recently, OnePlus released the Nord Buds 2R and Nord Buds 2, which cost Rs. 9,999. 1,799 and Rs. 2,499, respectively. Here’s how the company introduced its upcoming speaker and its design.

OnePlus Speaker Teaser

On November 16, 2023, OnePlus India uploaded a teaser video of what appears to be its first-ever speaker. The video contains two captions, saying “the wonders of music meets the power of technology” and “#comingsoon”, suggesting that the speaker could be rolled out soon.

The teaser also reveals the speaker’s internal hardware, indicating that it could feature multiple woofers facing in multiple directions. However, it is unclear whether this is an allusion to the speaker’s translucent or transparent design.

Other than that, the company hasn’t revealed any details about the speaker’s moniker, specifications, battery life, connectivity, or price. Interestingly, we haven’t seen OnePlus’ sister brands Vivo or Oppo launch a similar speaker, which is often the case with smartphones, which gives us a good idea of ​​what a particular model could carry.

Speculating on the launch date, we believe that OnePlus could unveil this device last week in November or the first week of December, ahead of the New Year online sales.
