Samsung is reportedly working on state-of-the-art Galaxy Buds 3 Pro for a 2024 launch،

As easy as it usually is to guess which new Galaxy phones will arrive and when, Samsung likes to keep things much more unpredictable in the realm of true wireless earbuds. While the company has almost surely given up on weird experiences like Buds Live for good, last month’s first release of Buds FE kind of took us by surprise.

Instead of that budget AirPods rival, you might have expected to see the world’s largest smartphone maker launch either a sequel to 2022’s flagship Galaxy Buds 2 Pro or “standard” Galaxy Buds 3 to keep up with the traces of the non-Pro Galaxy of 2021. Buds 2.
Naturally, that expectation has now shifted to 2024, at which point it looks like we’ll actually have a follow-up to one of these two products. But somewhat surprisingly, the youngest Buds 2 Pro are warned by the almost always reliable people of SamMobile to receive an aptly named sequel to the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro… at some point next year.
Unfortunately, that’s all we really “know” about this product, and even the existence and 2024 announcement of the mysterious Buds 3 Pro are obviously far from set in stone.
If we had to make an educated guess, we would of course expect Samsung to unveil its next big AirPods Pro alternative alongside the Galaxy S24 family of handsets in early 2024 or the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 later during this year. While we’re definitely crossing our fingers that the first theory comes to fruition, it seems unlikely at this point given how much secrecy the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro still is.

It remains to be seen whether Samsung will at least be able to release these bad boys before Apple inevitably releases the AirPods Pro 3, and perhaps more importantly, we can’t help but wonder what the rumored today means for a possible non-Pro Galaxy. Buds Model 3. Could such a product have been deemed unnecessary by its makers after the recent debut of the Galaxy Buds FE or is Samsung just doing a great job keeping it under wraps…for a change?
