Telegram teases upcoming app version tailored for the Apple Vision Pro،

Telegram is one of the world’s leading messaging apps, with a user base exceeding 1 billion. The app doesn’t cost a cent and works well with various devices, be it Android, iOS, macOS or Windows, and soon it will make its way to VisionOS.

As reported 9to5MacPavel Durov, the mastermind behind Telegram, showed off a version of the messaging app specifically designed for visionOSthe operating system tailor-made for Apple VisionPro helmet. Durov spilled the beans through a video on his Telegram channel, offering a glimpse of the augmented reality (AR) experience.

The teaser, revealed by Durov, gives an overview of how the application works on Apple Vision Pro. Judging by the visuals, Telegram ensures that the app stays in sync with all the design guidelines of the visionOS. The app takes on a translucent look, adding a sense of depth to the Telegram experience on VisionPro.Breaking from the norm, Telegram for visionOS shakes things up with a sidebar instead of the usual tab bar. This sidebar provides quick access to contacts, calls, chats, and settings. Prepare for a familiar range of features found in Telegram for iOS, covering media, audio messages, and the recently added Stories feature.

The teaser reveals the message over an immersive video player and animated AR stickers that extend beyond the confines of the app window. Telegram for VisionOS brings voice typing into the mix for composing messages, providing a hands-free option. Siri dictation and the system’s virtual keyboard play a central role in sending messages.

Although details are a little scarce at this stage, time is of the essence and, with VisionPro expected to hit U.S. stores next year, Telegram has a little wiggle room to tweak the visionOS application for a big launch in the coming year.

Last June, Apple gave us a taste of its augmented reality masterpiece, VisionPro. The headset is set to hit the market in 2024, priced at $3,499 in the United States.
