Google tests Reminder feature for Photos app that can help you pay bills on time،
Google is looking to add a new AI-powered feature to the Google Photos app that could prove useful. If you’re the type who takes photos of bills but forgets they’re stored in the app and you’re unable to make a payment on time, this new feature will help you save those horrible late fees that s accumulate over time. AndroidFont) said it discovered strings of code indicating that a reminder feature was being added to the Photos app.
Google added Calendar permission in a recent version of the Google Photos app. AssembleDebug says he tested version 6.61 of the app and was able to activate it on his phone.
When you select a photo of an invoice in the Google Photos app, some options at the bottom of the screen are inside the bullets and say things like “Copy text” or “Purpose.” A new bullet will say “Set a reminder.” Tap it and a pop-up will appear asking you to give the invoice image a name, select the calendar account you want the invoice to sync with, select the date and time you want the reminder will appear on Google Calendar, and a link to the photo will automatically be included at the bottom of the pop-up window.
AssembleDebug says that the “Set Reminder” bullet will not appear on all photos, only on photos with text or dates. This is where AI comes into play as machine learning will help the app determine if the subject of your photo is a bill. Currently the feature is hidden behind a flag, but Assemble Debug says reminders appear instantly on Google Calendar.
