Here’s a chance to check the exotic Surface Duo off your bucket list for a very low price،

If Microsoft received a penny for every brilliant idea that wasn’t exploited to its full potential, the company would be even richer than it is today. Take the Surface Duo for example. It’s a great phone, but it never got the recognition it deserved because Microsoft wasn’t committed enough. Regardless, it’s a pretty nice device, and while it was prohibitively expensive at launch, you can save big on it for now.

The Surface Duo is a dual-screen device, so you get two 5.6-inch screens instead of a single foldable screen. Even with all the progress that has been made, paranoid people like yours truly might consider opting for a foldable screen a bit risky. But with the Surface Duo, you don’t have to worry about accidentally breaking the phone in half.
So basically, you get all the benefits of a foldable phone in a more sturdy design.
You can run two apps side by side on the Duo, making it ideal for multitasking, and even when using one app at a time, the experience is superior to conventional phones. In fact, you can open your inbox on one side and read an email on the other.

It has a 360-degree hinge, which can keep the device open at any angle. When responding to emails, you can position the device like a laptop and type on the keyboard that will appear at the bottom.

At launch, the Surface Duo cost $1,399. Microsoft no longer sells it and its software support has also been discontinued. It’s still a lovely device and if you’re interested in owning it, Woot sells a refurbished model for $299.99.

It incorporates the Snapdragon 855 chip, but the performance is adequate for daily activities. The camera isn’t anything to write home about, and the battery life isn’t particularly impressive either.

But then again, this isn’t a device you’ll buy with the same logic you’d buy for a high-end 2023 phone. It beats those comparisons. It’s a rare combination of modern but not quite avant-garde. Get the device if you want a pocket-sized gadget for productivity, reading books, and light gaming.
