iOS 18 release date
A public beta of iOS 18, generally slightly more stable and bug-free, should arrive about a month later.
Although our guess is as good as yours, WWDC’24 should take place in early June next year, as that is the usual time when Apple hosts its
iOS 18 compatible devices
When it comes to compatibility, we know what the majority of eligible iPhones would be. Generally, iPhone 11 series and above are guaranteed to get iOS 18.
However, the bottom bracket is a bit of a mystery, all things considered. Of course, the iPhone XR, iPhone beyond the usual five-year period.
So, to summarize, here are which devices will likely come with iOS 18:

New iOS 18 features
Software features are rarely disclosed, so don’t expect too much to be known about iOS 18 before its official announcement at WWDC’24. Certainly, discussions are growing, but nothing as exhaustive as hardware and spec leaks on flagship phones.
That said, we’ve heard that iOS 18 could rely heavily on artificial intelligence and machine learning, as well as AI-based features for its most popular apps. The general consensus is that Apple is quite behind Google and other companies when it comes to AI, so it’s normal to anticipate major advances in this area with iOS 18.
Analyst and industry insider Jeff Pu, for example, is betting that iOS 18 will be the “generative AI” update Apple needs. Pu says the company is currently investing heavily in AI servers and is also expected to build a few hundred more in 2024 to serve as the backbone of the upcoming AI push.
Of course, when most people hear “AI” and “iPhone”, they probably make the association with Siri, Apple’s intelligent assistant, which is a bit stupid these days and way behind the competition in most areas. Hopefully the potential push toward AI will also result in a smarter Siri.
Apple is also rumored to be spending a lot of money training its internal LLMs (Large Language Models), which could potentially be used by Siri.
Additionally, a source close to Apple claims that the company’s Ajax GPT language model could perform better or at least on par with ChatGPT 3.5, which could show that Apple is making big strides in internally to have a more competent AI framework.
