On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, iQoo launched the iQoo 12 and iQoo 12 Pro in China. The Android flagships come with premium specs including higher refresh rate displays, the latest Snapdragon chipset, a triple camera setup offering up to 100x hybrid zoom, and massive batteries that support a super-fast wired charging. Although the phones will arrive in India next month, they are expected to share specifications and features with the Chinese model. iQoo 12 design
The iQoo 12 comes in three colors, including black, red, and white. All models have a bezel-less display (with symmetrical edges except a slight chin) with a punch-hole cutout in the center. The rear panel houses a massive cutout for the camera in the shape of a square with rounded edges. On the right column, users have the power/volume buttons, while the right column has antenna bands. On the top, there is a speaker port, microphone and IR blaster. The bottom panel houses the USB-C port, a speaker vent, and a microphone.

The iQoo 12 comes with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution. It also supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 3,000 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+ certification for viewing content with a high contrast ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
In China, the phone is available in three different storage variants. While the base variant has 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, the top variant offers 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. Regarding storage, it is UFS 4.0, which increases the overall performance of the smartphone.
Triple camera setup offers up to 100X digital zoom

The iQoo 12 Pro also includes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
The smartphone’s camera system is similar to the standard version. However, there are a few differences, including an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, support for 50W wireless charging, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. Additionally, the iQoo 12 Pro also has a larger 5,100mAh battery that supports the same wired charging speed. It’s the larger battery that makes the phone weigh 205 grams, while the standard version weighs 198.5 grams.
