Apple releases iOS 17.1.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1 fixing BMW wireless charging issue،

On November 7, Apple released minor updates in the form of iOS 17.1.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1, which are in addition to iOS 17 and iPadOS 17.1, released in September. This comes two weeks after the arrival of iOS 17.1 which brought numerous updates to StandBy, Apple Music features as well as the new AirDrop with the ability to send large files over the Internet. As usual, watchOS 10.1.1 has also joined the wagon for all compatible Apple Watch models.

iOS 17.1.1 and iPadOS 17.1.1 released

You can get iOS 17.1.1 updates via Settings >> General >> Software Updates. Speaking of what the new updates bring, it fixed the Weather lock screen widget which was showing incorrect display of snow. There have been issues with NFC-related features, such as Apple Pay, being unavailable on iPhone 15 models, apparently after charging their phones wirelessly in some cars, for example BMW.

iOS 17.1.1 should have fixed device shutdowns and Wi-Fi connectivity issues reported by users, however, the changelog does not mention the same as of this writing. Aside from that, watchOS 10.1.1 fixed an issue that caused rapid battery drain on some Apple Watches, aside from “important bug fixes” that the Cupertino-based giant didn’t identify.

iOS 17.2 and iPad 17.2 in preparation

For the uninitiated, Apple is already working on iOS 17.2 and iPadOS 17.2. It released the first beta in the last week of October with many features and will soon mark the release of a stable update.

iOS 17.2 includes a Journal app that lets users record their activities and thoughts much like a real journal, but on your iPhone. It has multimedia support that ensures your thoughts aren’t just text. With the upcoming iOS 17.2, you can reply to texts on the Messages app with stickers. Simply long-press on the text and select “Add Sticker” from the drop-down list, then viola.

Another feature arriving in iOS 17.2 allows you to create a shared playlist on Apple Music. Dubbed Collaborative Apple Music Playlists, it lets you and a group of your friends create a shared playlist that can be edited by participants. The action button on your iPhone 15 Pro series will receive another task called “Translate” which works exactly as it sounds. It allows you to translate sentences with just a tap. Many more features are in the works, including new weather widgets, Local Awareness emergency alerts, iCloud sync for messages, and more.
