Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is holding an event this Thursday, and it’s not a regular launch event. In a bid to create more hype around its upcoming flagship, the company will host an event to reveal details of its camera. Unlike Android manufacturers like Samsung, Google, Vivo or Oppo, which reveal the entire smartphone at once, the OnePlus 12 benefits from its dedicated camera event. Here’s when it will happen.

The OnePlus 12 camera event will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2023. However, the event is not taking place in India. Instead, the company chose its home market to reveal camera details first. Still, the camera specifications, including sensor selection, availability of optical image stabilization, and maximum zoom levels, are expected to remain the same even when the phone goes international.

For now, we know that the OnePlus 12 could feature a triple camera setup, including a 50 MP Sony IMX966 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 48 MP Sony IMX581 ultra-wide sensor, and a periscope telephoto lens 64 MP for three times optical zoom. On the front, users could get a 32 MP selfie camera. However, it is important to mention that none of these details are confirmed by the company. Readers should therefore take it with a grain of salt.
Expected specifications of the OnePlus 12
The OnePlus could feature a 6.82-inch QHD+ display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the phone could run on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Additionally, the smartphone could also pack a 5,400 mAh battery supporting up to 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Out of the box, the device is expected to run on OxygenOS 14 based on Android 14. Additionally, the phone is expected to look similar to its predecessor.
