Between OnePlus and Google’s newbie foldable efforts, it’s clear that things are about to get hotter than ever and competition is quickly heating up in a fast-growing market segment currently dominated by Samsung with ease.
Of course, the biggest threat to the tech giant’s global supremacy in the foldable category isn’t posed by a few prohibitive new devices priced at $1,700 or $1,800, but rather by the Razr (2023) and Razr+ (2023) significantly cheaper (and more humble) from Motorola.
Although this decidedly compelling bundle is still available on Motorola’s official US website, Amazon appears to have launched an even more attractive Razr (2023) sale ahead of Black Friday. Believe it or not, the e-commerce giant is charging $200 less than usual for this very well-rounded foldable phone in an unlocked variant and four eye-catching color options.
There are naturally no gifts involved here, no special requirements and no strings attached, and while we can’t predict the future, we don’t see how Amazon or any other US retailer could possibly improve on this early holiday deal in the near future.
At its lowest-ever price, the non-Plus mid-range
Motorola Razr (2023) is currently going head-to-head with Samsung’s Galaxy S23 FE while undercutting the prices of Google’s vanilla Pixel 8 and OnePlus 11, with its obvious strength being the versatility offered by a primary 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display and a secondary 1.5-inch external AMOLED display.
That being said, the rest of the specs certainly aren’t bad either, including a fairly large 4,200mAh battery with 30W fast charging capabilities, three very good cameras, and a decent 8GB RAM to match to 128 GB of internal storage space.
