Vision Pro’s Immediate Contribution To Apple’s Revenue Will Remain Limited: Mark Gurman،

The most valuable technology company on the planet, Apple, is facing a sharp decline in sales for the fourth consecutive quarter. The breakdown of revenue by category reveals that the iPhone, as a product, has held up despite the slowdown, as its sales last quarter totaled $43.8 billion, more than the same quarter of last year. ‘last year. However, MacBook revenue fell 34% year over year. Even though Apple has a few new products in the works, it may take a few years to contribute significantly to overall revenue.

Apple needs its “next big thing”

In his report, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman writes that to increase sales, Apple needs one of its “next big things.” Gurman suggests that the company needs an innovative new product that is unlike anything consumers have seen. In this regard, Apple is working on two things: Vision Pro, its mixed reality headset, and an electric vehicle. However, even these options don’t look as promising, and here’s why.

Here’s why Apple thinks Vision Pro won’t be an immediate success

In a recent conference call with analysts, Apple CEO Tim Cook outlined a go-slow approach to selling the Vision Pro. The company knows that there has never been a product on the market capable of combining virtual reality and augmented reality like the headset. Cook plans to offer the device exclusively in its store to draw more attention to the product. He says the company will offer demos in Apple Stores, and “it will be a very different process than the normal takeout process.”

In a previous report, Gurman mentioned how Apple would require users to make an appointment with store staff to try out the Vision Pro, and this could very well be the company’s strategy to delay everyone’s exposure to the product and create hype around it. Additionally, the Vision Pro will be launched first in the United States, then in the United Kingdom and Canada.

There is a learning curve involved with Vision Pro

Ultimately, Vision Pro is a complex product, and it will require a learning curve. Additionally, with different headband sizes and corrective lens attachments, this will not be an “easy sell”. To make the Vision Pro its “next big thing,” Apple needs to sell millions of units, and it knows it will take time. Although Apple has from time to time stated that India is one of the key markets, we have not known when the company plans to introduce the headset in the country.

Apple Watch will receive two new sensors in 2024

Gurman also discusses the company’s plans to include two new sensors on the Apple Watch in 2024. These include a blood pressure sensor and a sleep apnea sensor. Additionally, the company is working on a paid health coach feature that will guide users and provide them with information on their activity, diet, and other measures that can improve their health. However, providing a clearer timeline regarding the non-invasive blood pressure sensor, Gurman says he expects the sensor to arrive later this decade.
