Meta working on giving Threads users control (as it should) on whether their posts are shared on FB،

Currently, there is a feature from Threads and Facebook that promotes Threads posts on users’ Facebook feeds. However, there is no option to opt out of this option at this time. However, it now appears that Meta is going to give users this legitimate choice, reports Android titles. The company is working on a way to let users choose how their posts are shared (and if they want to).

Threads users will have control of cross-posting to other platforms.

At the moment, the update is not officially available. The new feature will give you the option to choose whether you want your chats to be published on other Meta platforms and, if so, which platforms you want to show it on.

Currently, Threads posts are shared across Facebook and Instagram without users’ control, and this has been going on for a while (some people didn’t even know their Threads posts were cross-posted). The new update will put control back where it belongs: to users and post authors. The information comes from Alessandro Paluzzia reverse software engineer who has already shown the current features correctly.

You can choose between Facebook and Instagram for sharing posts. This feature was found in the “Suggest posts on other apps” section of the Threads app, according to Paluzzi.

However, it is not known when this feature will be available to all users. However, it won’t be long before that happens.

The cross-posting feature exists primarily to promote Threads on the company’s other popular social media apps. Naturally, not giving users the option to decide whether or not they want to publish their posts on other platforms is not the best solution, however. At least now the feature to fix this is in the works and will likely be available soon.
