Star Wars Outlaws Rumored to Have Been Delayed by Ubisoft

It is possible that the next Star Wars Outlaws could be carried over to the next financial year. This is what a recent financial report from Ubisoft reveals, which refers to a “big game” whose release date has been pushed back.

You can read the full report at Yahoo! Finance which, halfway through, mentions an unnamed game originally planned to launch “during the last quarter of the current fiscal year.”

However, he adds that Ubisoft has “decided to launch this other major game during the 2024-25 financial year, in order to maximize its value creation.”

Without saying which title the developer and publisher are referring to, it is difficult to specify the details. Rumors circulating are that this is the new Star Wars game, although it must be said that this has not yet been confirmed at the time of writing.

A tweet from Kotaku senior reporting Ethan Gach (via Rock Paper Shotgun) claims that the “big game” mentioned in the report could well be the outlaw. If true, this could mean it will be released after April 2024.

Outlaws is an upcoming open-world title in the Star Wars franchise. Set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, the story will follow Kay Vess and her sidekick Nix as they embark on heists.

If the speculations are true, the game could release in the second quarter of 2024. It will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
