The OnePlus Tab is about to get much better thanks to OnePlus Open’s awesome multitasking!

OnePlus launched its first foldable phone very recently, and it impressed the tech world with its combination of excellent hardware and an exceptional camera system, but also with the level of polish on the software side. A feature related to the OnePlus Open software experience is the multitasking tool called “Open Canvas”. Now Open Canvas is also coming to the OnePlus Pad.

What is Open Canvas?

One of the main benefits of a larger screen is of course having more space to work. Yes, having a big screen is great for entertainment, but it also makes working and completing tasks much more enjoyable.

OnePlus’ Open Canvas solution aims to make multi-window management more transparent and natural. It allows users to customize the size and proportions of application windows they have open. On the OnePlus Open, you have a total of three applications that can be opened simultaneously: two work side by side at all times, while a third remains as a visual cue on the side, always within reach. Now, it would make sense for this ceiling to increase for the OnePlus Tab, since the screen is much larger than that of the OnePlus Tab. OnePlus Open. Unfortunately, when OnePlus let owners of its first tablet know that Open Canvas would be coming to the OnePlus Tab in a AMA on Reddithe did not specify whether it would work the same way as on the OnePlus Open or if there are any differences and what they might be.

Still, this looks like a potentially massive upgrade for the OnePlus Tab, making the tablet’s potential as a productivity tool much more powerful than it was when it launched earlier this year. It looks like the company is taking the lead on large-screen Android devices.
