Google Pixel Watch 2 Is Facing Intermittent Charging Issues،
Google launched the Pixel Watch 2 earlier this year. Although it looks similar to the original Pixel Watch, the Alphabet-owned company’s latest smartwatch offers a better chipset for faster performance, improved battery life, and new health-tracking sensors. However, just a few months after the launch, several users are reporting facing a strange charging issue that is not allowing them to charge their Pixel Watch 2.
Intermittent charging issue on Pixel Watch 2
Several Pixel Watch 2 owners posted on Reddit, expressing concern about the smartwatch charging. One user reported that instead of consuming power, their Pixel Watch 2 started consuming power when connected to the four-prong charger that came in the box. The user contacted Google Support to inform them of the issue, but did not get an immediate solution. Additionally, he even tried replacing the charging cable and wall outlet, but nothing worked.
Additionally, the user headed to a nearby store to try their luck with the Pixel Watch 2 on display. To his surprise, the display model started charging with the same charger, indicating a problem with the smartwatch itself. After trying several times to charge his smartwatch at home, the Reddit user succeeded in some of them. However, even with a new charger, he had trouble charging his Watch 2.
Talking to the Google Store team via chat seems to be the only solution
Meanwhile, the user did not receive a satisfactory response from Google Support. However, later he managed to chat with the support staff via live chat and got a replacement unit, but Google is yet to offer the solution to other users facing the same issue. As he mentioned in the Reddit post, users should go to the Google One support page, chat with a customer representative, inform them of the issue and ask them to reconnect with the Google Store team for an exchange.
Other users are also facing the same intermittent charging issue. It’s unclear if the Pixel Watch 2 is causing the issue or if the supplied charger is faulty. Since Google is aware of the matter, there is a good chance that it will offer replacements to users who are having trouble charging their Pixel Watch 2. However, the company has not provided a resolution timeline .
